Your movements will help charge your cell phone(Mobile)

Researchers have developed a new device that turns human motion into power for electronic devices such as cell phones, cameras and tablets.

The mobile generator 'Genneo' can charge a device with any type of movement so a user could purposefully shake it or just leave it in a pant pocket while taking a hike.

"Genneo has created a revolutionary line of products that capture energy from walking, shaking or moving in other ways and turn it into charge for your phone and other portable electronics," according to the product description on Kick starter.

"These products are easy to carry and they capture energy as you move normally, storing that energy in their on-board battery," it said.

The device includes a micro USB port and comes with a pre charging cable with a standard USB connection on the other side; that cable allows you to plug in one end into Genneo and the other end into your mobile device.

An LED battery gauge shows how much battery power Genneo has left, 'Mashable' reported.

Researchers will soon launch two models of the mobile generator. The first one delivers up to one hour of talk time in charge for every five hours that it is carried in a backpack.

The other gives up to one hour of talk time for every seven hours it is carried.


Shaking the Genneo accelerates charging. The first model can easily deliver three minutes of talk time per minute shaken and the second one produces up to two minutes of talk time per minute that you shake it.

Nokia Lumia 800 survives a three and a half month dive in a lake

''Yoga Tablet' By Lenovo

Lenovo has launched a Yoga Tablet at an event in Los Angeles.

The Android Jelly Bean (4.2) device comes in an 8- and 10-inch model and will be available for 249 dollars and 299 dollars, respectively.

According to AllThingsD, when designing the Yoga Tablet, Lenovo said it wanted to do something that would help make its device stand out from all other tablets that look alike.

First Firefox OS-Powered Phone To India By ZTE

ZTE Corp of China has teamed up with online marketplace eBay to introduce a new smartphone device, based on Mozilla’s Firefox mobile operating system, to the Indian market.

eBay India is currently offering the phone, called the ZTE Open, under the category of ‘limited availability’, and at a price tag of Rs. 6,990. According to industry watchers, however, the limited availability of the handsets may be an instance of the companies merely testing the waters. ZTE and eBay have also narrowly beaten out Japanese electronics major Sony, which was reportedly planning on bringing a Firefox phone to the Indian market.

Lenovo Launches Laptop with Android 4.2 Operating System

Lenovo today launched a new laptop but this one runs on Android 4.2 instead of your regular Windows operating system.its very first dual-mode Android 4.2 "Jelly Bean" laptop. The Lenovo A10 is a dual-mode laptop (the screen can be turned around and used as a regular tablet) and the company’s first laptop to run on Android 4.2 OS.

It weighs less than 1kg and is just 17.3mm at its thickest point.

The screen is a 10.1-inch HD screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768  and users can flip the screen around 300 degrees.

It is a touch-enabled screen. It has has integrated 0.3M webcam.

The Lenovo A10 is powered by an RK3188, quad-core Cortex-A9 processor, clocked at 1.6GHz.

Its battery is claimed to support up to nine hours of continuous video playback.

A new website launches By Indian Tourism Ministry with online ‘Walking tours’

Tourism Ministry launched an innovative website on Tuesday to make it easy for tourists to walk or drive through the most-visited cities in India by providing all tourism-related information at one place.

The Ministry has joined hands with Genesys for launching ‘Walking Tours’ at www.wonobo.com, where details of 12 major cities, including Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai and Delhi regarding route map, famous eateries, monuments and parks are uploaded.

The site will soon cover 54 cities in the country. “The Ministry is partnering with Genesys to create a Walking Tours platform, one of the first such initiatives to be undertaken in any country,” Tourism Secretary Parvez Dewan said after the launching of the site.

“We believe this innovative and entertaining technology will make it extremely easy for tourists to walk or drive through our most-visited cities. The site will be linked to the Incredible India website.

“It will add a completely new facility to our Incredible India campaign. Now, instead of having paper brochures, one can have all details in electronic format. “The facility will be a great help for our domestic and foreign tourists,” 

Dewan said. Sajid Malik, CMD of Genesys, said, “Decades of global experience in the geopolitical domain has enabled us to build India’s first and most comprehensive navigation platform that also incorporates social media. 

We are confident that wonobo.com will be a major value creator for an entirely new ecosystem of business in the years to come.” 

The site will be shortly available on mobile phone also.

Upgrade Your Windows 8 Into Windows 8.1

If you already have Windows 8, upgrading to Windows 8.1 is very simple. It will be the first app you see every time you open the Windows Store and the installation happens very quickly.
You don't have to re install your desktop applications or your Windows Store apps, and all your files are still there (as are libraries and the icons pinned to your taskbar.If you sign in with a Microsoft account you haven't used before, you might have to use a code that Microsoft emails or texts to you (if you've set that up in the past) to confirm it's you; that works like trusting a PC in Windows 8 but you don't have to do it as a separate step.

If you have Windows 7 (or earlier versions), you have to install Windows 8 (the same process as when Windows 8 first came out) and then upgrade to Windows 8.1.
If you've been trying the Windows 8.1 Preview, you can't upgrade directly to the RTM version (which Microsoft warned people about all along).
If you can't revert to Windows 8, you still do the update from the Windows Store and your files will stay on the system, but you'll have to reinstall your desktop programs.
If you've already upgraded another PC using the same Microsoft account you'll see tiles for the Windows Store apps you have installed on that other PC (marked with a little download icon) and you can tap on the tiles to install them.
Once you've got into the Windows 8 and 8.1 world, upgrades become almost seamless (previews aside). You just have to get there.

Samsung Galaxy Gear vs Pebble Smartwatch
